In conjunction
with our sister company www.supafish.com
we have yielded to pressure and agreed to finance, publish and film a trip to
Kerr Lake North Carolina in August of this year. Having spent many weeks there
over the last five years the really big Carp have proved both fascinating and
incredibly elusive which has sparked a remarkable interest worldwide in the
unique techniques we have developed to catch them. The Carp at Kerr are the most
difficult to catch we have ever come across and the problems that arise in
Europe pale into insignificance against these superb wild fish. Their behavior
is totally unaffected by anglers, something that just cannot be found in Europe
where the Carp by comparison are easily caught. A whole new range of techniques
have had to be developed and each year we have made more and more progress to
the point where we are now confident enough to attempt to take two state
citations
on our return there this August.
Filming and editing
will be carried out by a young new talent, Dominic Stoate, who is
currently studying at Bournemouth University.
Design, promotion
and public relations etc will be the responsibility of Kelly Marriot,
also at Bournemouth University and both are now in the process of launching
their own venture

Filmed in a
documentary style format, encompassing not just the fishing itself but many
other aspects of North Carolina and Virginia, the video will eventually be made
available via our websites during February 2008. Book your copy early as the video
will only be available in limited numbers and for the first time we will finally reveal
some of the techniques used including baits and terminal tackle. It will be a
fascinating film that should appeal not just to anglers but everyone who is
planning a trip to America whether to fish this amazing location or just enjoy
the incredible un-spoilt landscape that is almost undiscovered by
Europeans. From Gatwick to Durham NC and back again, don't miss it !
A publication in
more technical terms will also be available soon after our return for serious
anglers but again it will only be available in small numbers on a first come
first served basis. A full diary written in a more lighthearted style will be
posted on our website shortly after our arrival at Kerr lake.
